Who is Roger Beckett?

I have photographed Presidents and Prime Ministers, Actors and Entertainers, multi million pound building projects, Brides and Bridegrooms, snow covered mountains, coral covered sea beds, manta rays and sharks. My photographs have appeared in International and National publications on television and the Internet

I consider it the best "job" in the world.

Is it wrong to be a perfectionist? Not in my eyes, if a bridesmaids dress is pale lilac, or the bodywork on a Ferrari is that well-known red then that is the colour they should be in your photograph. Phrases like "you cannot match that colour" don't have a place in my vocabulary. Although nature's more vivid colours may cause a few problems any "manufactured" colour can be matched.

Great photographs are not the result of luck. Great photographs are the result of thorough planning, attention to detail, a wide based knowledge of both the technical and theoretical aspects of photography and an understanding of the interaction between light and everything around us. A successful photoshoot is all the above plus the ability to understand what your customer wants to achieve.
